Unlike the current version, the new node will have a built-in server of the BTCPay server, a self-hosted cryptocurrency processor for accepting Bitcoin payments, Welch says. The new features are expected to create the entire experience of opening flash channels and sending money more easily.
Welch said the new node has been ready for about six to six months and is responding to a growing community of electric fans.
According to Welch, the community ranges from young software developers to the elderly, doctors to students.
